✓ Download INI file packs for MAME 0.277 (scroll down, click the circles)

✓ Installation/Usage

• Download the INI file packs you're interested in and extract the ZIP file to your "folders" folder of MAME or your favorite MAME frontend! (create the "folders" folder if it doesn't exist)
• Click the "Category" filter at the left side
• Choose the INI File and filter (Group)

! Note for MAMEUI users: Due to a long filter name bug/limitation in MAMEUI, INI files with long filter names are not working in MAMEUI and make the frontend not run. However, you can use them in official MAME which doesn't have this bug/limitation present.
It are the following INI files which should not be copied to your "folders" folder in case you use MAMEUI (all other INI files will work fine in MAMEUI):

• [ARCADE] Arcade Joystick Configuration.ini
• [ARCADE] Arcade CPU Configuration.ini

✓ INI File Examples

! Very important: each INI file ONLY contains the machines belonging to the machine category between square brackets (in the file name), which are:

• [ARCADE]
• [COIN-OP (GAMES)]
• [COIN-OP (NON-GAMES)]
• [COMPUTERS]
• [CONSOLES]
• [ELECTRONIC]
• [GAMBLING]
• [HARDWARE]

The machines are separated by machine category in order to get a grasp on the GIGANTIC machine list in MAME, so that users can choose the machines they are interested in!

• [ARCADE] Arcade By Decade.ini

Example: "1980s Arcade (no clones)"
All arcade machines from the 1980s, without clones

• [ARCADE] Arcade System.ini

Example: "Sega Model 2 hardware"
All arcade machines running on the Sega Model 2 hardware

• [ARCADE] Arcade Screen Configuration.ini

Example: "(S1: raster) (S2: raster)"
All arcade machines having 2 raster screens (S1 = screen 1, S2 = screen 2)

• [ARCADE] Arcade Control Configuration.ini

Example: "(P1) lightgun (P2) lightgun"
All 2-player arcade machines having a lightgun for each player (P1 = player 1, P2 = player 2)

(Note: If there is no (P1), (P2), ..., this means the arcade machine is a single player machine and all written controls are for a single player!)

• [ARCADE] Arcade CPU Configuration.ini

Example: "(CPU1: Zilog Z80) (CPU2: Zilog Z80) (CPU3: Motorola MC68000)"
All arcade machines having 2 Zilog Z80 CPUs and 1 Motorola MC68000 CPU (CPU1 = CPU 1, CPU2 = CPU 2, CPU3 = CPU 3)

• [ARCADE] Arcade Joystick Configuration.ini

Example: "(P1) joy 4-way with 4 buttons (P2) joy 4-way with 4 buttons"
All 2-player arcade machines having a 4-way joystick with 4 buttons for each player (P1 = player 1, P2 = player 2)

(Note: If there is no (P1), (P2), ..., this means the arcade machine is a single player machine and all written controls are for a single player!)

• [GAMBLING] Gambling By Machine Type.ini

Example: "Fruit Machine"
All gambling machines which have the machine type "Fruit Machine"

• [CONSOLES] Consoles By Manufacturer.ini

Example: "Nintendo"
All consoles made by Nintendo

• [MAMElicious] Software List Explorer.ini

Example: "Apple II cassettes"
All machines that can run software of the software list "Apple II cassettes"
